Shanmuganathan Ravishankar, also known as Colonel Charles (from Jaffna), the Head of LTTE Military Intelligence wing, was killed on the 6th of January 2008 by Sri Lankan Army LRRP unit[1]. His death was called a major setback for the Tamil Tigers[2].
He led the Bandaranaike Airport attack and other prominent attacks in Southern Sri Lanka. In the Bandaranaike Airport attack Charles has been credited with zero [1] civilian casualties.
